Get The Word Out: Most
people don't understand "Smart Growth" because they've never heard of
it, which is exactly what the "Smart Growthers"
want. We have to make everybody see
what’s driving this madness so they will help end it. Talk to friends and relatives about “Smart
Growth” and explain how it does affect their lives. They must understand that even though they
may have a nice house on a nice lot, their children or grandchildren will not
have that luxury under “Smart Growth”.
Talk to Politicians: Not
just through letters and emails, but personally. Every time a politician, political group, or
political survey taker calls, knocks on your door, or comes to your town, you
must make “Smart Growth” the issue. Ask
them where they stand, and inform them that you will vote for the candidate who
best represents the values of Stop Smart Growth, i.e. will work for the repeal
Get your community and/or group to
support the cause: Have the council and/or board in your area pass a
resolution asking the state to repeal the “Comprehensive Planning Law”. A copy of such a resolution can be found by clicking here.
We not only need citizens, we need communities to tell the politicians
that we are fed up with this travesty.
Please email or mail us a copy of the passed resolution so we can keep a
record of all the communities who are on board.
If you’re the member of a large group, get your board of directors to
pass a resolution too.

will need money to fight the heavily funded groups that will be against
us. To fight the millions of dollars
